Privacy policy
Namoosa has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Your details live on your phone. They leave it in one situation only: when you choose to file a complaint, they go to the regulator that the complaint is addressed to. Nothing is collected for us, because there is no us to collect it — there is nowhere for it to arrive.
What stays on your phone
Stored in a database on the device, and nowhere else:
- Your name, email address, mobile number and mobile network.
- Your log of reports: the number you reported, the date, what you wrote, the complaint number the regulator gave back, and which registries you texted.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, which also means there is no way to restore it.
What is sent, and when
When you file a real-estate complaint
Your name, email address and mobile number, together with the number that called you, the description you wrote and any photo or chat log you attached, are sent over an encrypted connection to the Dubai Land Department’s complaints service at . That is the complaint. What the department does with it afterwards is governed by their own terms, not ours.
The regulator then texts and emails you a one-time code for that complaint. Namoosa cannot read your messages — iOS offers you the code and you enter it.
When you report a number to a registry
Registry reports and registry sign-up are text messages from your own line. Namoosa writes the message and opens it in your phone’s messaging app; you send it. It is sent by you, through your network, and Namoosa never sees it.
When the app starts
Namoosa asks Expo’s update service at whether a newer version of the app’s code is available. That request carries technical details — platform, app version, update identifier — and no personal information.
Photos and files
If you attach a screenshot or an exported chat, Namoosa reads only the file you picked, and only to attach it to the complaint you are filing. It does not browse your library.
What Namoosa never does
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
- No advertising identifier, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
- No accounts, no sign-in, no cloud backup.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your information. There is no recipient other than the regulator you chose to write to.
Your rights
Everything Namoosa holds about you is on your own device, so you already have it: open Your details to read or change it, and delete the app to erase it. A complaint already filed with the Dubai Land Department is theirs to hold; requests about it go to them.
Children
Namoosa is not directed at children and is not intended for use by them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new version appears here.
